since it's introduction in 1999, the in-line 4, 1298cc (79.2cu in)
suzuki hayabusa has consistently tested as the fastest production
motorcycle in the world. also known as the gsx 1300r, or "Busa", the
engine size was increased to 1349cc (82.3cu in)in 2008. that translates
to 194hp...or 0-60mph in 2.49sec...or 0-180mph in 15.9sec! holy crap! in walks matt boesch and his team at genius parts, and they decide to stick the Busa engine in a 2008 smart! how does it run, you ask?? here's some video of the "smartBusa" in action, and pictures of how they did it. enjoy! |
