i own the scangauge II, and have never been happy with placement options as far as the smart car is concerned. being VERY limited on interior space, there are few options available to smart owners on where to put it. i originally used extra strength velcro to place it just below the dash buttons (see here)...but never liked it. then, i had an idea! why not use the v-shaped, slide-in holders already built into the smart...the one's used to hold various smart accessories like the cd holder and smokers kit. all you'd have to do is fabricate the v-shaped female end perfectly, mount it to a gooseneck of some sort and fabricate the gizmo holder! sounds easy, right? well, go ahead! make one! i realized it's great to have and idea, but it takes someone like matt boesch to make it happen. think about it! this holder can be adapted for a scangauge II, cell phone, ipod, GPS unit...pretty much any handheld gadget you can think of. call matt at 248.318.2136 and order one for yourself.
